NEGATIVE SPACE is a horror novel by B.R. Yeager about four friends struggling to maintain desensitization amid a small-town suicide epidemic. As a means of coping, they abuse WHORL, a synthetic hallucinogen that puts them in contact with ghosts composed of thin black string. Over the course of a year, the ghosts teach the four about death magic, divinatory ritual masturbation, and the vast psychic spaces beyond the veil. As the drug slowly takes over their lives, their psyches begin to bleed into the material world, influencing reality in grave and heinous ways that will eventually ruin them all.
This is the sound of that altered reality.
